S/S Letitia Lykes was my uncle's last ship before retirement. On the trip before last they came to Istanbul, then heading west circumnavigated the earth to the last port of call Djibouti. There she was handed over to the crew which would take her to Alang where she would be dismantled.

Dates of Shipment and Discharge : June - July / 1978 ; Dec / 1993 - Aug. / 1994.
Voyage Destination : From U.S. Gulf to Eastern Mediterranean ( Morocco / Turkey / Egypt / Former Yugoslavia / Italy / Portugal ).
Last Voyage : From U. S Gulf ports thru Panama Canal and Pacific Ocean To Far East ( Thailand / Philippines / Singapore / Somalia / Yemen / Djibouti ).
