| s/s Mormacmail was Erdem Yurtseven 's first American flag ship. He served aboard as apprentice R/O in 1967. At the time the ship was in South Africa Line. He made his maiden crossing of the equator on her.
Ascension Island, Capetown, Port Elizabeth, Durban, Beira, Tamatave, Dar es Saalam and Mombasa were among ports of call. The below picture of the sister ship s/s Mormacisle was taken a year later from another ship. |
