My uncle had worked on ss Mormactide in 1982, on a voyage to south Afica. The day we had brought him to ship at Brooklyn, I had the chance of seeing the radio room and the bridge for few minutes. So, some 24 years later when I saw her in Istanbul, it was like seeing an old friend !

1989 EMPIRE STATE VI converted to training ship.Delivered to SUNY Maritime College.
