M/V Bolu as a containership after being converted from bulker. Bosphorus circa 1995. Launched in 1981 completed in 1983 at Camialti Istanbul, Turkey. Grt/Net/Dwt :12.095/7.692/18.567 - 5 holds total bulk capacity 23.742 m3 L/B/D : 136.8/22.4/9.1 m. Engine: Sulzer Diesel made in Yugoslavia, 9.000 hp. Speed : 15.5 knots, single screw. Sold to private interest (2008) renamed G.Inebolu. Near Sister Ships : Balikesir Bitlis Burdur Bursa At Haydarpasa container terminal , Istanbul 1999. Sister ship M/V Bitlis ' navigation bridge above is taken from a commercial publication of DB Cargo, photographer unknown. Sister ship M/V Bursa getting built on the slipway at Golcuk Navy yard. This picture had appeared in Hurriyet newspaper in 1974. The same article gives the date the keel was laid as April 5,1974 and expected launch as July 24, 1974. These dates are way off from the 1981 we find in Equasis and Miramar SI. I recall the building had lagged because of financial problems but was it that long I am not sure !.
